We’ll take you sailing for the entire weekend towards the Slovenian and Croatian coastline.
We’ll cross the gulf of Trieste towards the town of Pirano and along the coastline of Slovenia and Croatia. We’ll sail away for the weekend and you’ll get to spend the night out at sea.
Our vessel is going to be the Marea, a fancy 15 meters cruiser who can host for the night up to 8 people.

We’ll meet early in the morning at the docking in Monfalcone to start our adventure. We’ll then sail in the direction of Pirano where you’ll choose whether to get to shore or have lunch on the boat.
During the day we’ll stop as many times as you wish to jump in the water and swim in the Adriatic and to learn the basics of sailing.
If you book the entire boat as a group you’ll also choose the itinerary together with our skipper.
At every meal time you’ll decide if you want to go and explore the little harbours or if you just want to stay on board and chill. As we’re talking about food, you can bring your own or let the staff organise your meals (you will need to send us your preferences so we can plan the menus together and according to your likings).
Maurizio or Fausto will take you safely on your adventure, they’re experienced sailors and sailing instructors and upon your request, Chiara, our tour manager, will join as well.
We’ll spend the night in a bay or docked in one of the small harbours depending on several factors such as availability and weather conditions
Itinerary and meals will be arranged with the team and the other participants.
Your boat is the Vagabond, a 17 meters long luxury cruiser with 4 double cabins with private bathrooms and shower, a dining area and a kitchen. The boat has a nice sitting outside as well where you can eat, tan or relax.
Spending an entire weekend on a sailing boat is an unforgettable experience full of colours: think about the blue of the sea and the incredible sunsets and sunrises on water you’ll get to see!

- Sailing boat tour of 2 days and 1 or 2 nights
- Docking in a marina (either in Italy, Slovenia or Croatia)
- Transfers form the boat to drylands
- Welcome drink and aperitif

- Transfers to and from the port of Grignano (can be arranged)

- City tax (mandatory for Croatia)
The Gulf of Trieste is a shallow bay limited by an imaginary line between Grado, in the FVG region and Punta Salvore in Croatia – the first beach resorts after the border between Slovenia and Croatia. It measures 550 square kilometers and its depth varies between 16 and 25 meters.
The Gulf of Trieste is the perfect place to spend some time on a sailing boat as there are numerous beach resorts you can reach in a short amount of time, as well as beautiful small Venetian-like sea towns on the coastline of Slovenia and Croatia.
As a matter of fact, in just a few hours one can reach the sea towns of Piran, Izola, Portoroz, Savudrija and Umag.
The rivers flowing into the Gulf are the Isonzo and Timavo rivers on the Italian side and the Rižana and the Dragonja on the Slovenian side. The coastline alternates between cities and unspoilt areas such as the nature reserves the Cavanata valley, the Isonzo river, the cliffs of Duino, the Natural Marine Reserves of Miramare and Strunjan, the marine protected areas of Madonna and Punta Grossa and finally the natural park of the salt pans of Sečovlje.
Sailing in the Gulf of Trieste gives you the chance of seeing all these wonders from a different perspective, enjoy the beauty of silent sunsets and dawns at sea, and with the possibility of choosing your itinerary based on the wind and your personal wishes.
